Connor Henderson (Monmouth Jct, NJ/South Brunswick), a right-handed pitcher for The College of New Jersey, was named to the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) 2010 Mid-Atlantic All-Region First Team. This is second straight season he has been named to the all-region first team.
Henderson compiled a record of 7-2 for the Lions this spring with a 3.17 earned run average. He fired three complete games and struck out 49 batters while only walking 23. His success in the New Jersey Athletic Conference included wins over Kean University, William Paterson and the post-season clinching victory over Rutgers University-Camden.
Henderson won his first six decisions of 2010. His best statistical game was a complete game shutout victory of Haverford College. Henderson limited the Fords to four hits and one walk while striking out 10. On the season, he pitched seven or more innings in six of his starts.
The right-hander was also named to the NJAC First Team for the second consecutive season. Heading into his senior season, Henderson is among the Lions all-time leaders in wins and winning percentage boasting a career record of 15-3.
