West Windsor, NJ ... The College of New Jersey athletic department hosted its annual golf outing this past Friday and enjoyed its most successful tournament ever. More than 200 golfers attended the outing in support of the Lions' athletic programs.

TCNJ athletic director John Castaldo was ecstatic with the show of support to the institution and the quality of the event spearheaded by Dean Glus and assisted by every member of the Lions' coaching staff.

"Having 200-plus golfers in today's financial climate is a true testament to the belief of athletics at TCNJ," noted Castaldo. ""I was proud of each coach and thankful for their commitment to the outing."

All proceeds will benefit TCNJ's 20-sport intercollegiate athletics program and provide program support for student-athletes in all varsity programs. In addition, a portion of each golf registration fee and sponsorship has been directed to the sponsor's choice of sport.

The athletic administration and coaching staff would like to thank every golfer, sponsor, and gift contributor who helped make the tournament a great time and success. TCNJ alumnus, families, and friends are always welcome to attend all athletic events in the future and be a part of the ongoing winning tradition that adds to the program's rich history.
