McGrath started off the new year in fine fashion winning the unseeded 3,000 meters at the New York City Gotham Cup. She finished the race with a time of 10:31.01, which was an ECAC qualifying time. She also participated in the distance medley relay as the Lions placed fourth with an ECAC qualifying time of 12:34.12. McGrath was also recognized as the NJAC Track Athlete of the Week.
