ATHLETIC COMMUNICATIONS OFFICE
The athletic communications office is housed in the department of athletics in the division of student affairs. The office consists of two full-time employees and also employs student workers, who assist with office administrative duties and athletic events.
The office is responsible for promoting and disseminating information with regards to TCNJ's 20 varsity athletic programs to the local, regional and national media, the New Jersey Athletic Conference, and the NCAA. The primary responsibilities of the office include:
- Maintaining the athletics website
- Writing event releases as well as individual and team honors, feature stories, and promotional copies
- Event management of the press box, which includes scoreboard operation, public address, and official scoring & statistical input
- Creating and producing all athletics video content
- Managing all social media platforms for TCNJ athletics
- Photography & video production
- Live streaming events
- Maintaining all current statistics and statistical archives
- Nominating student-athletes for weekly conference, regional, and national awards

Media Interviews
Contact the athletic communications office for interview requests with student-athletes, coaches and administration. The office can not pass along contract information of student-athletes without the permission of the student. Reporters may also request interviews at athletic events and be permitted down on the field 10 minutes after the completion of an event. TCNJ locker rooms are closed.
* Media members should not attempt to contact student-athletes through social media channels. Doing so will result in a loss of access and credentialing at the college.

Press/Photo Credentials
Admittance to the media areas at TCNJ is limited to working media members only. Credential requests must be made to the office of sports information in advance of any contest, preferably two days prior.
Media credentials will be available at the admissions table or in the press box. New photographers must visit the press box, so they are informed of the areas designated for photographers at each specific facility. Visiting photographers are not permitted in bench areas. Non-credentialed photographers must remain in the spectator areas.
TCNJ is a member of the NCAA and the NJAC and all press box and game day policies will conform to prescribed guidelines.

Internet Access for Media
The college offers guest wireless access to visiting media upon request. Please contact the at if you are in need of wireless access.
Media Accommodations
Credentialed media members are welcome to arrive to the press box 45 minutes prior to an athletic event. The press box (or Packer Hall) will close no more than one hour after the conclusion of an event.
Game programs, rosters, and statistical handouts will be provided for media at each home event. Game box scores and season statistics will be updated on www.tcnjathletics.com within 30 minutes of the event's finish. Printouts of halftime statistics will be available at men's and women's basketball games as well as quarterly statistics for home football games.
