Mission Statement

The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) represents the Division III student-athlete voice in the Division III governance structure by reviewing legislation; identifying significant student-athlete issues; implementing national student-athlete based initiatives; encouraging community outreach; and enhancing Division III student-athlete involvement in and understanding of Division III in general. The committee meets in-person once a month. It also conducts teleconferences as needed.

About Us

SAAC attends to the general concerns of TCNJ student-athletes and acts as a liaison between all varsity athletes and the TCNJ community, from the student body to the administration, as a body dedicated to promoting attendance at varsity athletic events and fostering camaraderie amongst all TCNJ varsity student-athletes. Throughout their sporting careers at TCNJ, student-athletes can also participate in community service and leadership development through the SAAC.

The committee is composed of at least two representatives from each team, who are chosen or selected by their respective teams. Any varsity team member may participate in SAAC, however only those members elected/appointed by their individual teams may vote on SAAC issues.

Battle of the Lion's Den "BOLD" Cup

The BOLD Cup represents a year-long competition among all of TCNJ's athletic teams, aiming to boost the student-athlete experience. Throughout the year, teams will compete against each other in TCNJ Athletic's four core areas of academics, athletics, philanthropy and the student-athlete experience. The BOLD Cup seeks to foster a strong sense of community and TCNJ spirit while providing student-athletes with opportunities to build relationships, engage with their campus and community, develop essential life skills, and grow into well-rounded individuals prepared for life after graduation.
