Vernoia broke a pair of TCNJ records at the Bucknell Invitational winning the 500 freestyle in 4:32.40, shattering the previous mark of 4:35.68. He also won the 200 free in record fashion wiith a time of 1:40.68. He bettered the old school mark of 1:41.78. He was also part of the winning 400 relay at the Bucknell Invitational and added a first-place effort in the 200 butterfly (2:00.90) as the Lions knocked off Bloomsburg University in a dual meet to remain undefeated.
