O’Connor played a big role in TCNJ recording its first win in program history over Johns Hopkins University as he won the 100 breaststroke with a time of 57.88, while also taking home first in the 200 breaststroke race in 2:11.22. He was also a member of the winning 200-medley relay team, while adding a second-place showing as part of the 400-medley relay team.
