Marchitelli, a reliever for the past two seasons, took the ball to start a must-win game against Montclair State in the loser's bracket final. The junior right-hander threw a complete game striking out 15 Red Hawk batters. From the sixth inning through the ninth, 10 of his 12 outs recorded were strikeouts including striking out the side in the ninth inning.
