Cruz had a perfect weekend competing in the Lions' Kick-Off Invitational winning both of his singles and doubles matches to finished with a combined record of 4-0. He won his singles matches 6-0, 6-4 and 6-2, 7-5, while posting 8-0 and 8-1 wins in doubles action.
