Helmer was a perfect 4-0 on the mound for the Lions. She tossed a one-hit shutout at Richard Stockton and followed that up with a four-hit shutout at Messiah. the freshman then earned wins in both games of a DH sweep of Kean, including a 2-1 win in eight innings. In that game, she saw her scoreless string of 33.1 come to an end. She threw 26.1 innings with 21 strikeouts and allowed only two unearned runs and 10 hits.
