Tarnowski posted five NCAA provisional times, broke two program records (one individual, one relay), and led the Lions to an 8th straight MET title. He placed second in the 200-free in 1:38.16, second in the 500-free in 4:31.55, and fourth in the 200-back. In the 200-back prelims, he broke the program record with a time of 1:50.37. He contributed to a second-place finish in the 800-free relay and also a runner-up finish in the 400-free relay, which the team broke the program record with a finish of 2:59.38. All of his times were B-cuts.
