Hales established a new school record in the hammer throw, placing second overall (first amongst Division III athletes) out of 31 competitors at the Greyhound Invitational hosted by Moravian College. Her mark of 46.82 meters (153' 7") is the farthest ever recorded by a Lions' athlete. It eclipsed a mark by nearly two feet that stood for five years.
