Alex Christian delivered a two-run, walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth to defeat Tufts University, 4-3 in the opening round game of the NCAA tournament. Christian graduated the following day, receiving summa cum laude honors as well as being named the Dr. Harold W. Eickhoff Senior Male Scholar Athlete Award winner.
