Thompson broke his own program record in the 200-IM at the the MET Championships on Friday. The junior posted a time of 1:49.99, finishing over a full second faster than his previous effort. Thompson additionally posted an NCAA B-Cut time of 48.86 to win the 100-fly. In his final individual event, Thompson posted an NCAA B-Cut time of 1:49.53 in the 200-back to place third.

Thompson swam on all five of the Lions' relay teams, including the victorious 400- and 800-free relay squads.
