Herrick was tabbed as the Gerrity Award winner at the 2008 NJAC Indoor Track and Field Championships as the Most Outstanding Female Athlete as the junior won the mile with a NJAC record and NCAA provisional time of 5:00.87 and the 800 meters with a top time of 2:23.34.
