Newark, NJ... Senior Kevin Luber's (Delran, NJ/Delran) goal early in the opening half stood as The College of New Jersey men's soccer team ended the 2009 campaign on a winning note as the Lions held off Rutgers University-Newark on Wednesday.

The win clinched TCNJ a home game in the upcoming New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament against an opponent to be determined. The Lions finished conference play with 5-2-2 mark, while going 7-5-4 overall.

Luber's goal came 10:46 into the game on an assist from classmate Anthony Staropoli (Raritan/NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan). The goal was Luber's team-leading sixth of the season.

Junior goalie Chris Kulik (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central) made a picked up his first shutout of the season making four saves.
