Oneonta, NY...Junior Briann McDonough (North Arlington, NJ/Immaculate Heart Academy) scored 3:41 into the second overtime as The College of New Jersey women's soccer team rallied for a 2-1 win over Oneonta State in the opening round of the Oneonta Mayor's Cup.

McDonough's goal, which was her second of the season, came after Brittany McGinley (Cranford, NJ/Cranford) saved the ball along the line.

The Lions and Red Dragons battled their way through nearly 80 minutes of soccer before Oneonta State grabbed a 1-0 in the late stages of regulation. TCNJ knotted the score with 5:01 remaining on the clock as freshman Toni DeMaio (Parsippany, NJ/Parsippany) picked an opportune time for her first collegiate goal. That goal was set up by a cross from sophomore Annie McCarthy (Brick, NJ/Brick Memorial).

Senior keeper Jessica Clarke (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Valley) notched her fourth straight victory as she made four saves.

The Lions round out tournament play on Sunday taking on Hartwick College in a 4 p.m. start.
