TCNJ stays unbeaten with 4-0 win at Richard Stockton

Freshman Sloan DePiero netted her first collegiate goal in the win at Richard Stockton.

Pomona, NJ... The College of New Jersey women's soccer team remained undefeated on Wednesday as the Lions scored a pair of goals in each half to defeat host Richard Stockton College, 4-0.

Second-ranked TCNJ is a perfect 8-0 on the season and 2-0 in New Jersey Athletic Conference play. The loss kept the Ospreys winless in conference play at 0-2, while they are 4-3-1 overall.

The Lions netted the winning goal 19:29 into the game as sophomore Brenna Rubino (Voorhees, NJ/Eastern) picked up her fifth tally of the year. That goal was followed by one off of the foot of junior Nikki Migliori (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) less than 10 minutes later.

In the second half, TCNJ tacked on two more goals as freshman Sloan DePiero (Ramsey, NJ/Ramsey) picked up the first goal of her collegiate career just 1:17 into the new half. The final goal came from senior Casey Caruso (East Brunswick, NJ/East Brunswick) as she capped things off with her first of the year. Caruso goal was assisted by Katie Lindacher (Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Egg Harbor Twp.).

Freshman keeper Kendra Griffith (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) collected her fifth solo shutout of the season as she made one save.

Anniversary planned for Saturday
The Lions return home on Saturday, September 25 when they host conference rival Montclair State University in a 1 p.m. start at TCNJ's Soccer Complex. At halftime of the game, the program will recognize the 10th anniversary of the 2000 National Championship team.
