Gettysburg, PA…Senior Amy Van Dyk (Wyckoff, NJ/Ramapo) scored 1:26 into the first overtime directing The College of New Jersey women's soccer team to a 1-0 triumph at Gettysburg College on Wednesday.
 
The goal came off a scramble in front of the Bullet net with Van Dyk heading in an assist from sophomore Korrie Harkins (Wenonah, NJ/Gloucester). The goal was the first of the season for Van Dyk.
 
The win elevated the 23^rd-ranked to 10-1 on the season, while Gettysburg fell to 7-3.
 
Sophomore goalie Kendra Griffith (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) went the distance for the Lions making four save as she picked up her sixth shutout of the season.
 
The Lions carried the play against Gettysburg holding an 18-6 advantage in shots and took six of the game's eight corner kicks.
 
TCNJ returns to New Jersey Athletic Conference play on Saturday, October 6 hosting William Paterson University at 4 p.m. That game will be played at TCNJ's Soccer Complex.
