TCNJ kicks off conference play with win at Ramapo

Ewing, NJ…The College of New Jersey women's soccer team opened New Jersey Athletic Conference play with a 3-0 road victory at Ramapo College on Saturday.
 
With the win, the Lions remain undefeated on the season at 6-0, while the Roadrunners dropped to 3-2. It the first conference game for both teams.
 
Junior Katie Lindacher (Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Egg Harbor Twp.) opened the scoring with her team-leading fifth goal of the season 7:34 into the contest once again giving TCNJ an early lead.
 
Lindacher helped the Lions increase that advantage to two goals just under eight minutes later assisting on a goal by junior Sloan DePiero (Ramsey, NJ/Ramsey).
 
In the second half, Lindacher struck again early this time chasing in on an assist from Jordan Downs (Brick, NJ/Brick) 7:33 into the half.
 
Sophomore goalie Kendra Griffith (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) collected a pair of saves recording her fourth solo shutout of the season.
 
TCNJ takes on another conference opponent on Wednesday as the Lions head to Richard Stockton College for a 7 p.m. match-up with the Ospreys.
