Galloway, NJ… Junior Sloan DePiero (Ramsey, NJ/Ramsey) headed in a corner kick 2:06 into overtime to lift The College of New Jersey women's soccer team past Richard Stockton College 1-0 on Wednesday.
 
The teams battled 90 minutes of regulation without scoring, but DePiero headed in a corner kick by Allyson Anderson (Point Pleasant, NJ/Point Pleasant) for her third goal of the season. It was also her second game winner of the season.
 
The win kept the 16^th-ranked Lions undefeated at 7-0 and they are 2-0 in New Jersey Athletic Conference play. This was the conference opener for the Ospreys, while they ate 5-2-1 overall.
 
Sophomore goalie Kendra Griffith (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) extended her scoreless streak to start the season to 563:16 as she made one save for her fifth solo shutout of the season.
 
Richard Stockton keeper Sarah Hinkle (Mullica Hill, NJ/Pail VI) kept the Ospreys close as she finished with 11 saves.
 
TCNJ faces a tough test on Saturday, September 22 as the Lions host Montclair State University at 1p.m.
