Box Score
Glassboro, NJ… Rowan University spoiled The College of New Jersey women's soccer team's quest to earn a bye in the opening round of the New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament as the Profs scored the winning goal in double overtime on Wednesday for a 3-2 win.

That win gave Rowan (16-2, 8-1 NJAC) the second seed in the tournament, while the Lions (14-2-1, 6-2-1 NJAC) earned the third seed. By finishing third, TCNJ will have a home game in the tournament and that game is slated for Saturday, November 2 at 4:30 p.m. in Lions' Stadium. The opponent for that game will be determined later this evening when all games are complete. The winner of that game will then move to the conference semifinals on November 5.

After a scoreless first 10-minute overtime period, the Profs netted the game winner with 5:01 in the second extra session on a goal by Erika Suhl.

The teams traded goals in both halves, with the Lions grabbing the initial lead 9:08 into the contest when Korrie Harkins (Wenonah, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) picked up her fourth goal of the season. The goal was set up by a long pass that Brianna Petro (Martinsville, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) had lofted into the Rowan penalty area.

The Profs got the goal back midway through the period and that score held when the teams headed off of the field for halftime.

Like the opening half, TCNJ struck in the early going of the new half with Taylor Lusardi (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) getting the goal on a corner kick. That goal came with 12:06 expired and was again assisted by Petro.

Rowan quickly countered getting the equalizer 3:14 later setting the teams up for overtime.

Goalie Kendra Griffith (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) finished with six saves for the Lions.
