Ewing, NJ… The College of New Jersey women's soccer team dispatched of visiting Ramapo College by the score of 4-0 in the opening round of the New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament on Saturday to move into the semifinals.

The win gives the third-seeded Lions (15-2-1) a shot a redemption at second-seeded Rowan University, as the Profs edged TCNJ 3-2 in double overtime in the season finale. That semifinal match-up set for Tuesday, November 5 at 7 p.m. in Glassboro, NJ.

The loss ended Ramapo's season at 8-11.

TCNJ dictated play throughout taking nine of the 10 shots in the first half and then accounted for all 15 in the final frame.

The Lions netted the only goal of the opening half as junior
Korrie Harkins (Wenonah, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) headed in a soft crossing pass from freshman
Sarah Marion (Hightstown, NJ/The Peddie School). That goal came 8:15 into the game and was Harkins' fifth of the season.

Taylor Lusardi (Randolph, NJ/Randolph) made it 2-0 punching in a loose ball 11:30 into the second half, while junior
Leigh Applestein (Pennington, NJ/Hopewell Valley) netted the game's final two goals, making it a 4-0 final. The first of those was assisted by senior
Katie Lindacher (Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Egg Harbor Twp.) and the second by freshman
Christine Levering (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville).

Kendra Griffith (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) made one save to earn the win for TCNJ as she combined with
Cristina Gacos (Sea Girt, NJ/Wall) to combined on the shutout.

Talia Auslin (Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) finished with five saves, while senior defender
Melanie Bertoli (Rockaway, NJ/Morris Hills) made a nice team save taking away a sure goal by the Lions.
