Keeper Kendra Griffith earned her sixth shutout of the season.
Box Score
Glassboro, NJ… Freshman Christine Levering (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville) scored late in the second half to lift The College of New Jersey women's soccer team past host Rowan University 1-0 on Tuesday in the semifinals of the New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament.

The win sends the third-seeded Lions (16-2-1) into the NJAC Championship where they will face top-seeded and undefeated Montclair State University (18-0) on Friday, November 8 at 7 p.m.. The Red Hawks moved into the final with a 2-0 triumph over Richard Stockton College. The winner of that game will earn the NJAC's automatic bid to the 2013 NCAA Division III Championships.

The Lions and Profs were playing for the second time in a week, with the Profs won the season finale by the score of 3-2 in double overtime. It looked like the two teams were once again destined for overtime, but Levering laced a shot from outside of the penalty box into the right corner of the net for her team-leading 10th of the season. The goal was also her fifth game winner of the season. That goal came with 8:57 left in regulation.

With Levering providing the offense, TCNJ's defense was once again stellar limiting the Profs to only six shots on goal, with the last one coming with 20 minutes left in the game. When Rowan was able to get a shot off, keeper Kendra Griffith (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) was there to make the save. She finished with six saves for her sixth shutout of the season.

The trip to the finals marks the fourth time in the last five years the team reached the championship game, coming away with the title in 2009, 2010, and 2011.
