Ewing, NJ… In a battle of teams each boasting seven-game winning streak, The College of New Jersey were the ones that bumped that number to eight as the Lions collected a 3-0 shutout over Richard Stockton College on Wednesday in women's soccer action.

The win put fourth-ranked TCNJ at 8-0 on the season and 2-0 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. The loss was the first for the Ospreys since the opening weekend of the season, as they fell to 7-3 overall and 1-1 in the conference.

The Lions accounted for the only goal of the first half when Richard Stockton redirected a shot into her own goal with 22:07 left in the period.

TCNJ pushed that lead to 2-0 with 13:11 expired in the second half on a goal by sophomore
Shannon White (Fairfield, NJ/West Essex). White ripped a shot from the far wing that found the upper corner of the net on the near side.

A pretty passing play set up the third and final goal with
Sloan DePiero (Ramsey, NJ/Ramsey) getting the goal. Senior
Katie Lindacher (Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Egg Harbor Twp.) carried the ball into the penalty area from the far wing and served a soft pass to Sloan at the front of the net and the junior fired a shot into the top half of the net for her fourth of the season.

The have another tough game on Saturday, traveling to 25
th-ranked ranked Montclair State University for a 6 p.m. start with the Red Hawks. The Ospreys also play on Saturday, returning home to take on William Paterson University at 1 p.m.
