Galloway, NJ... The College of New Jersey women's soccer team benefitted from an own goal by Richard Stockton College as the Lions picked up a valuable 1-0 conference road win on Wednesday.

The win kept the 10
th-ranked Lions perfect in New Jersey Athletic Conference play at 3-0 and they improved to 8-1 overall.

This sets up Saturday's showdown with 16
th-ranked Montclair State University. Both teams are in the midst of a three-way tie for first place in the conference standings, with Rowan University also being 3-0. Game time with the Red Hawks on Saturday is at 7 p.m. in Lions Stadium.

The only change on the scoreboard came with 18:31 left in the game when the Ospreys put the ball into their own net resulting in an own goal and a 1-0 edge for the Lions.

Kendra Griffith (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) and the rest of the defense kept their growing scoreless streak going as the Lions have not allowed a goal in the last 371:40. Griffith made a pair of saves for her fourth straight shutout and sixth on the season.
