Ewing, NJ … The College of New Jersey men's soccer team fell in overtime to William Paterson University 1-0 in New Jersey Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon.

The loss eliminates the Lions (6-9-2, 2-6 NJAC) from post-season contention. The Pioneers (8-7-2, 3-4-1) remain in the playoff hunt with the win and sit in seventh place in the NJAC standings. They could use some help from TCNJ on Wednesday night as the Lions take on sixth-place Rowan University.

Chris Noel (Edison, NJ/Edison) scored his first collegiate goal under two minutes into the first overtime the end the contest.

Maciej Libucha (Woodland Park, NJ/Passaic Valley) put forth a tremendous effort in the loss. He made a career-high 14 saves in the game.

TCNJ will look to play the role of spoiler when the host the Profs on Wednesday night at 7:30Â p.m. The Lions will also celebrate Senior Night for six players in their final match.
