York, PA... The College of New Jersey women's basketball team dropped its season opener as the Lions fell 63-52 to Ursinus College on Saturday in the opening round of the Coach vs. Cancer Classic hosted by York (PA) College.

The Lions will be right back on the court tomorrow when they face Cazenovia College, which fell to the host Spartans 102-63.

Kelly Coughlin (Trumball, CT/Trumball) finished with a game-high 19 points, with five of her buckets coming from behind the 3-point arc. Classmate
Jessica Goldbach (Edison, NJ/John P. Stevens) connected on 5-of-8 from the floor as she finished with 11 points. Sophomore
Kim Dana (Freehold, NJ/Freehold) just missed being the third Lion to reach double figures with a career-high eight points.

TCNJ led 30-25 at the half and extended that margin by a field goal at 36-29, but the Bears used a 22-11 run over the final 14:31 to secure the win and advance in the tournament.
