Williamstown, MA... The College of New Jersey women's soccer team continued its march through the 2014 NCAA Division III Tournament as the Lions posted a 3-1 victory over Misericordia University on Saturday, November 22.
 
The Lions (18-2-1) move into Sunday's national quarterfinal at Williams College at 1 p.m. Williams (19-1-1) advanced with an exciting 3-2 win as the Ephs scored the game-winning goal with just 46 second left in regulation. The winner of that game advanced to the semifinals of the tournament on December 5 in Kansas City, MO.
 
The win added to TCNJ's growing unbeaten streak as they now have not lost in its last 11 games. They have gone 10-0-1 in that span and haven't dropped a game since October 4.
 
The Cougars end their successful season at 19-3-1.
 
Senior Korrie Harkins (Wenonah, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) gave TCNJ the lead, scoring with 11:36 left in the first half.
 
Harkins didn't waste any time extending that lead, picking up her second of the game three minutes later. That goal came off of an assist from freshman Jessica Goldman (Belle Mead, NJ/Montgomery).
 
Sophomore Christine Levering (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville) made it 3-0 scoring just over 20 minutes into the second half, while the Cougars got the goal back two minutes later making it a 3-1 game.
 
"We created a lot of dangerous chances, the kids in midfield were exceptional," Lion head coach Joe Russo said.
 
The Lions did spend a lot of time on the attack as they launched 24 shots at the Misericordia net, 10 of which were on goal.
 
Goalkeeper Kendra Griffith (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) made four saves for her 17^th victory of the season.
