Ewing, NJ... The College of New Jersey women's soccer team punched its ticket to the New Jersey Athletic Conference championship final with a 2-0 win over Richard Stockton College on Wednesday in Lions Stadium.

The 12
th-ranked Lions (15-2) will visit Montclair State University on Saturday at 6 p.m. The Red Hawks defeated Rowan University 1-0 to advance.

Senior
Gina Caprara (New Providence, NJ/New Providence) scored late in the first half for TCNJ and sophomore
Christine Levering (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville) added an insurance goal in the second period to clinch the tournament victory. Senior
Kendra Griffith (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) stopped both shots she faced to register her 13
th shutout of the season and seventh in a row.

Play was even through the first 30 minutes of the match. The Ospreys had the best scoring chance when senior
Lexi Sasi (Cranbury, NJ/Princeton) sent a cross into the goal mouth that deflected out to the top of the box. Sophomore
Amanda Boucher (Hamilton, NJ/Steinert) struck a volley out of the air, but the shot zipped wide of the left post.

With just under three minutes remaining in the opening period, sophomore
Lauren Malajian (Haworth, NJ/Northern Valley) and Levering played give-and-go as Malajian sprinted forward to collect the ball at the end line. She sent a ground pass across the goal mouth and Caprara was there to knock a first-time shot into the left corner to break the scoreless tie. It was the eighth goal of the season for Caprara.

Following the intermission, sophomore
Brianna Petro (Martinsville, NJ/Bridgewater-Raritan) got loose down the left side and worked out of a tight spot in the corner. She delivered a cross just outside the six-yard line to the near side and Levering flicked a shot with her heel past the goalkeeper for a terrific goal. The goal came at the 52:37 mark of the game and was the 11
th tally of the season for Levering.

The Lions' defense took care of the rest as they have now gone 641:40 without permitting a goal.

Lauren Haynes (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) finished with three saves.

With its return to the championship match, TCNJ will have a chance to repeat as NJAC champs and also add their 17
th conference title in program history.
