Nick Costelloe (Freehold, NJ/Freehold Twp.) led The College of New Jersey men's soccer team to a 5-0 drubbing of York College (NY) on Tuesday afternoon in Jamaica, NY.

It marked the second straight win for the Lions (2-1) as their offense has caught fire, tallying nine goals in the past two games. Senior
Greg Kaye (Morganville, NJ/Marlboro) assisted on both Costelloe goals and then scored in the 24
th minute to propel TCNJ to a 3-0 halftime lead. Costelloe returned the favor to Kaye, assisting on his first career netter.

Costelloe gave the Lions a 1-0 lead just 11:37 into the match. Less than seven minutes later, he pushed the lead to 2-0, converting on a 2 v 1 break away. Kaye and senior
Kevin McCartney (Old Bridge, NJ/St. Joseph's) were both credited with assists. Kaye then tallied his first career goal before the intermission to provide TCNJ with a three-goal cushion.

With 15 minutes remaining in the second half, senior
Jason O'Donnell (Toms River, NJ/Toms River North) took a long feed from junior
Andrew Kimball (Seaville, NJ/Ocean City) and beat the York goalkeeper for his second goal of the season.

Just over six minutes later,
Matthew Ziegler (East Brunswick, NJ/Milford) capitalized on a defensive error and pushed a shot between the posts to ice the 5-0 triumph.

Jacob Nesteruk (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks) registered the shutout in goal for TCNJ. He made three saves in the game to earn his first career victory in net.

The Lions outshot the Cardinals 15-8 in the game. York goalkeeper stopped six shots in the contest as the Cards dropped to 0-2 on the season.

TCNJ is back in action this Friday night when they take on John Carroll University at 7:30 p.m. in the Stockton Seashore Classic. They return to the pitch the following day to square off against Brooklyn College at 3 p.m.
