Ewing, NJ... The College of New Jersey women's soccer team recorded its second straight shutout on Tuesday as the Lions blanked visiting Fairleigh Dickinson University – Florham by the score of 5-0.

The win upped TCNJ's record to 6-1, while FDU-Florham fell to 2-4-1.

The 12
th-ranked Lions opened the scoring with 19:15 left in the first half when sophomore
Christine Levering (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville) redirected a pass from classmate
Sarah Marion (Hightstown, NJ/The Peddie School).

That margin doubled just over 10 minutes later when Marion scored with 8:55 left before the break. Marion took a lead pass from senior
Jordan Downs (Brick, NJ/Brick), eluded a charging FDU-Florham keeper and punched the ball into the empty net.

TCNJ resumed its scoring early in the second period when senior
Korrie Harkins (Wenonah, NJ/Gloucester Catholic) recorded her third of the season. Freshman
Jessica Goldman (Belle Mead, NJ/Montgomery) set up the goal with a nice service into the penalty area.

The Lions added two more goals in the final 10 minutes with the first of those coming with 9:23 showing on the clock. That goal came when
junior Justine Larocca (River Vale, NJ/Pascack Valley) drilled home her own rebound, before senior
Gina Caprara (New Providence, NJ/New Providence) laced a pass from freshman
Hannah Richman (Egg Harbor Twp., NJ/Egg Harbor Twp.) to close out the scoring.

Kendra Griffith (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill West) recorded her fourth solo shutout of the season without having to face a shot.

In goal for the Devils, sophomore
Annie George (Denville, NJ/Morris Knolls) registered 10 saves.

TCNJ returns to conference play this weekend when the host Kean University at 3 p.m., while the Devils are also in action on Saturday at Lycoming College.
