Wayne, NJ… The College of New Jersey softball team dropped its first game in the New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament 5-0 at William Paterson University on Tuesday.

The fourth-seeded Lions (19-11) will continue the double-elimination tournament on Friday, May 1 heading to Rowan University to take on the top-seeded Profs. Rowan (34-4) advanced with a 1-0 win over sixth-seeded Rutgers-Camden.

Pioneer pitcher Allison Podmajersky had TCNJ's number as she finished with a no-hitter and struck out six. She faced only one batter of the minimum 21 as Lion sophomore
Steph Vuono (Voorhees, NJ/Eastern) earned a walk in the third inning. Podmajersky retired the last 14 batters she faced.

William Paterson (27-9-1) got the early lead in the first inning, scoring all five runs in the game in that frame. Each of those runs was unearned.
