The loss was only the second on the season for the Lions as they fell to 6-2-2 overall and they are 0-2 in New Jersey Athletic play.

The match was the conference opener for Kean and they moved to 9-1 overall.

The Cougars tied the game late in the opening half and then took their first lead of the contest 2:49 into the new period. They then added two more goals in the final 10 minutes to close out the scoring.
