Ewing, NJ … The College of New Jersey women's soccer team advanced to the New Jersey Athletic Conference championship game with a 4-0 victory over Kean University on Wednesday night in Lions Stadium.

TCNJ (16-0-1), the top seed in the tourney, will take on the winner of the #2 Rowan vs. #3 Montclair State University game being played in Glassboro, NJ later tonight.

Senior
Christine Levering (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville) netted a pair of goals and assisted on another as three second-goals by the Lions sealed the win. Freshmen
Alexa Beatty (Cherry Hill, NJ/Cherry Hill East) and
Haley Bodden (Princeton, NJ/Princeton) also scored in their first collegiate post-season appearance.

The contest started out slowly with TCNJ maintaining possession, but failing to generate any serious scoring threats in early goings. Junior
Kayla Bertolino (Medford, NJ/Shawnee) entered the game in the 27
th minute and made an immediate impact. She gained possession down near the right corner and sent a low cross to Levering, who was racing toward the near post. Levering settled the pass, turned, and buried a low shot to give TCNJ a 1-0 lead.

The score remained 1-0 at the break, but in the 55
th minutes, the Lions doubled their lead. Levering sent a cross from the right side and Beatty knocked it in out of the air for her third goal of the season

Just under 12 minutes later, junior
Jessica Goldman (Belle Mead, NJ/Montgomery) delivered a picture-perfect corner kick that Levering drove into the back of the net off of a header to push the lead to 3-0. It was her 18
th goal of the season.

Bodden capped the scoring at 82:46 of the game. She took a cross from
Alexa Prestritto (Lumberton, NJ/Rancocas Valley) and ripped a shot in the right-hand corner for her fourth goal of 2016.

The Lions' defensive backfield was outstanding and allowed just one shot in the contest. Senior goalkeeper
Jessica Weeder (Lebanon, NJ/North Hunderton) registered her 11
th shutout of the season.

The championship game will be played at 6 p.m. in Lions Stadium. TCNJ will seek its 17
th NJAC title under Head Coach
