Ewing, NJ… The College of New Jersey wrestling team won seven bouts on their way to a 32-10 defeat of the United States Merchant Marine Academy Tuesday night. The win improves the Lions record to 7-8, while dropping the Mariners to 2-7.

Anthony Gagliano (Howell, NJ / Howell) got the Lions on track early, earning a major decision victory at 141. JT Beirne (Fanwood, NJ / Scotch Plains Fanwood) immediately expanded TCNJ's lead to 16-3 earning a first round pin at 149.

Dan Kilroy (Wayne, NJ / Wayne Hills) extended the Lion's lead further to 23-7 with a major decision victory at 174. Kyle Schlittler (Milford, NJ / Delaware Valley) clinched the match with a major decision victory at 184. Sigala Fosam (Robbinsville, NJ / Robbinsville) closed out the match in style, winning by technical fall at heavyweight.

The Lions return home Friday, January 20 at 7:30 PM when they host Centenary University from Packer Hall.
