The Lions match up against the Profs this Wednesday and the Pioneers in Wayne, NJ on Wednesday, February 8.

Â
The Lions built a 35-17 halftime lead, thanks in large part to seven three pointers. A trey from sophomore
Nicole Shatsky (Marlboro, NJ/Marlboro) put TCNJ 18-9 with just over a minute left in the first quarter. In the second period, consecutive baskets by
Chiara Palombi (Manasquan, NJ/Manasquan), Schum, and Dana stretched the Lions lead to 26-12.
Â
A lay-up by

Â
Three straight 3s from Dana, Schum and then Schum again to open the second half put the game out of reach. The TCNJ lead swelled to 27. The Gothic Knights battled, but they couldn't cut their deficit inside of 15 points the remainder of the contest.
Â
Kiana Briggs led all NJCU scorers with 15 points, while
Ziyadah Williams netted 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
Schum also led TCNJ in rebounds with eight. Dana and
Kate O'Leary (Trumbull, CT/Trumbull) each chalked up five assists and Palombi finished with eight points and five boards.
