Ewing, NJ… The College of New Jersey wrestling team hosted the NEWA/Metro Duals Saturday afternoon. The Lions started the day winning six matches en route to a 28-22 victory over Williams College. TCNJ struggled against seventh ranked Roger Williams University in their second dual, losing 26-9 while only managing to earn three victories. The Lions rebounded in their final dual of the day, winning five matches, two by pin, to defeat Bridgewater State University 22-21.

Nick Herring (Middletown, NJ / Middletown South) led the way for TCNJ, going 2-0, including a major decision victory in the victory over the Purple Cows. Anthony Gagliano (Howell, NJ / Howell) also finished the day undefeated, picking up a victory over his opponent from the Hawks.

Dan Kilroy (Wayne, NJ / Wayne Hills) continued his impressive season, finishing 2-1 with both wins coming by fall, to run his season total to a team high 11.

The Lions will be right back on the mat Sunday, January 29 at 12:00 noon when they host Springfield College from Packer Hall.
