Ewing, NJ… The College of New Jersey women's soccer team continued their dominance Saturday afternoon defeating New Jersey City University 8-0. The Lions improve to 7-0 on the season and are 2-0 in New Jersey Athletic Conference play, while the Gothic Knights drop to 2-6 with an 0-2 conference mark. TCNJ has outscored opponents 31-0 this season.

TCNJ is now 23-0 all-time against NJCU and has out-scored the Gothic Knights 203-1.

The Lions got on the board early when
Kayla Bertolino (Medford, NJ/Shawnee) scored off a set piece from
Jen McGrogan (Pompton Plains, NJ/Pequannock Twp.) and
Christine Levering (Robbinsville, NJ/Robbinsville).
Taylor Nolan (Sparta, NJ/Sparta) extended the lead with a laser inside the right post following a pass from
Kelly Wieczerzak (Wayne, NJ/Wayne Valley).

Levering then added to the scoring column in the 17
th minute on the first of two assists from
Kelly Carolan (Sparta, NJ/Sparta). Before the 17
th minute was over Carolan found
Elizabeth Thoresen (Colt's Neck, NJ/Red Bank Catholic). Just before the end of the first half
Despina Lianidis (Linwood, NJ/Mainland Regional) scored to give the Lions a 5-0 halftime lead.

Gianna Zarra (East Hanover, NJ/Hanover Park) opened the scoring in the second half off a feed from
Stephanie Figueroa (Mt. Laurel, NJ/Lenape).
Julia Obst (Pennington, NJ/Hopewell Valley Central) closed out the scoring with two goals in the final 13 minutes.
