Ewing, NJ…The College of New Jersey women's tennis team continued their incredible season, defeating Stevens Institute of Technology 9-0 Wednesday afternoon. The Lions improve to 12-0 on the year, while the Ducks drop to 9-8.
Lions senior
Maddy Stoner (Ewing, NJ/Ewing) picked up her 100
th career win with a dominant 8-0 doubles victory with partner
Grace Minassian (Closter, NJ/Northern Valley) by her side. Minassian was on the court with Stoner for 36 of her 100 wins.
Finishing the doubles sweep were the teams of
Sneha Rangu () and
Alyssa Baldi (Mahwah, NJ/Mahwah) as well as
Audrey Chen (West Windsor, NJ/West Windsor-North) and
Andrea Giacobbo (Moorestown, NJ/Moorestown). Rangu and Baldi also earned an 8-0 win.
In singles play the Lions did not lose a single set, led by
Brittany Reedman's (Williamstown, NJ.Williamstown) 6-0, 6-0 victory at number three.
The Lions return to action Saturday when the host the University of Mary Washington at 10:00 AM.
