Williamstown, MA… The College of New Jersey women's tennis team's season came to an end in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, falling 5-1 to Johns Hopkins University. The Lions close out the season at 14-2. The Blue Jays improve to 14-8.
In doubles play,
Maddy Stoner (Ewing, NJ/Ewing) and
Grace Minassian (Closter, NJ/Northern Valley Demarest) earned an 8-3 victory to put the Lions on the board at number one.
Sneha Rangu (East Windsor, NJ/Mercer County Health Science Academy) and
Alyssa Baldi (Mahwah, NJ/Mahwah) fought hard before falling 9-7 at number two.
In singles play, Stoner and Rangu each took the opening set in unfinished matches.
