EWING, N.J. – The College of New Jersey wrestling team swept a pair of dual meets Friday afternoon as part of a quad meet hosted in Packer Hall. The 15^th-ranked Lions (4-1) defeated Muhlenberg College (10-4) 37-14 before securing a 58-0 victory over King's College (Pa.) (0-9). In other action 18^th-ranked New York University (5-1) defeated the Monarchs 50-6 before handing the Mules a 38-6 setback.
 
TCNJ  got off to a strong start in the opening match racing out to a 28-0 lead behind pins from Nic Mele, Robert Dinger, and Mark Gerstacker and a major decision from Ryan Budzek. At 174, Dan Kilroy secured the victory with a fall.
 
The Lions continued to rack up bonus points in their second dual. Jacob Falleni earned a bonus point via a major decision at 125. The Lions then received three consecutive forfeit wins. Anthony Gagliano, John Garda, Kilroy, Daniel Surich, and Alex Mirabella each posted first round pins. When Thomas Marretta walked to the center of the ring unopposed and saw his hand raised, the Lions secured the shutout.
 
TCNJ is off until the Budd Whitehill Duals hosted by Lycoming College Jan. 11-12.
