GALLOWAY, N.J. – The College of New Jersey men's soccer team tied with Stockton University on Wednesday night by a final score of 0-0. TCNJ now stands at 10-2-4 including 2-1-4 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference, while Stockton became 9-4-3 and 2-3-2 in the conference.

Stockton had a prime scoring opportunity right away in the 11^th minute with a penalty kick, however TCNJ goalkeeper Daniel Mecadon slammed the door as he denied the penalty attempt.

In the 22^nd minute, Dante Bettino took a shot, yet it was saved by Stockton goalkeeper Dino Gromitsaris. Mecadon picked up another save in the 36^th minute to keep the zero on the board.

In the second half, Mecadon picked up two more saves in the 69^th and the 70^th minute. He stopped another shot late in the 86^th minute to keep the match scoreless, and the game went into overtime.

Ryan Vazquez sent in a header in the 97^th minute that nearly crossed the line, yet a Stockton defender was able to clear the ball and deny the scoring threat. Neither side was able to break through in the final session, and the match resulted in a draw.

The Lions return to action on Saturday, Oct. 26 to take on Montclair State University at home. That will also be TCNJ's senior day.
