GALLOWAY, N.J. – The College of New Jersey women's tennis team took a large step toward another conference championship Wednesday afternoon, defeating Stockton 9-0. The Lions (3-0, 3-0 NJAC) knocked off the coaches pre-season number two pick in the league in the Ospreys (1-1, 1-1 NJAC).

TCNJ got off to a quick start in doubles play with reigning NJAC Player of the Week
Liya Davidov and
Charlotte Roarty winning on court one 8-0. Freshman duo
Jenny Landells and Alexandria Vasile teamed for an 8-1 win at number two. At number three,
Katrine Luddy and
Anusha Rangu paired for an 8-0 victory.

The Lions took all six matches in singles play in straight sets. Roarty,
Julia Yoon, and
Navya Yemula each won without dropping a game at numbers two, five, and six respectively. Davidov was dominant at number one, earning a 6-0,6-2 win. Vasile and Luddy earned the victories on courts three and four.
The Lions return to action Saturday when they host the Lions Fall Tournament with New York University and Franklin & Marshall College at 9:30 a.m.
