EWING, N.J. – The TCNJ women's tennis team defeated Division II Wilmington University, 7-2, on Sunday to remain unbeaten this season. The win improved the Lions' record to 11-0, while the Wildcats dropped to 4-9.
The Lions are now 32-1 during dual matches in doubles play this season after earning another sweep.
Alexa Vasile and
Anusha Rangu started the day with an 8-1 victory at number three. At number two,
Charlotte Roarty and
Jenny Landells won, 8-3.
Liya Davidov and
Katrine Luddy completed the sweep with an 8-4 win at number one.
The Lions continued their strong play in singles. Roarty, Davidov, and Luddy all won in straight sets at numbers two, one and three, respectively.
Sarah Phung won 8-0 at number six.
The Lions return to the courts on Friday when they host NYU at 11 a.m.
