READING, Pa. – The No. 1 TCNJ women's soccer team stepped out of conference action on Tuesday, playing at Penn State Berks and winning, 2-0. The Lions outshot Berks, 17-6, with a 7-2 advantage in shots on goal. TCNJ (10-0) played 21 different players, and 12 Lions had at least one shot.
TCNJ broke through on Berks in the 42
nd minute with two of those reserves hooking up for the Lions' first goal of the night.

Sofia Alves who flipped the shot over keeper Savannah McNeal to give TCNJ a 1-0 lead.
Gianna Coppola added the insurance for the Lions, scoring in the lower left corner in the 84
th minute to make it 2-0 TCNJ.
The two goals were more than enough for the stingy TCNJ defense as the Lions pitched their eighth shutout in 10 games this season. Penn State Berks managed just two shots in the second half, with just one landing on net.
Coppola and
Emma Pascarella each had three shots to lead the Lions.
Alexandra Panasuk made two saves in goal for TCNJ.
The Lions return home and return to NJAC action on Saturday against New Jersey City at 1 p.m.
