WEST WINDSOR, N.J. – The TCNJ men's tennis team suffered its first setback of the season on Saturday afternoon, falling 5-4 to New Jersey City. The Lions are now 3-1 overall and 0-1 in conference play, while the Gothic Knights remain undefeated at 2-0 with both matches coming in league play.

TCNJ opened the day strong in doubles play, taking two of three matches.
Justin Wain and
Matthew Michibata won 8-4 at number one and
Derek Jordan paired with
Rahul Panoli for an 8-3 win on court three.

The Gothic Knights fought back in singles play, winning four of six individual matches to secure the team win.
Adrian Tsui and Panoli each won in straight sets for the Lions. Tsui won 6-0, 6-2 at number three and Panoli won 6-1, 6-0 at number six. Michibata and
Akul Telluri each stretched their matches to a third set, but ultimately lost.

The Lions return to action Saturday, April 17 when they travel to face Ramapo at noon.
