CAMDEN, N.J. – The TCNJ women's tennis team secured the number one seed in the upcoming NJAC Tournament on Sunday afternoon, defeating Rutgers-Camden, 9-0. The win improves the Lions' record to 7-0 overall and 5-0 in the NJAC, while the Scarlet Raptors fell for the first time this season, dropping to 3-1 both overall and in conference play.

The win extends TCNJ's winning streak to 18 matches dating back to the start of the 2019-20 season. The Lions have also won 193 straight conference matches, producing a 193-0 record since conference play began in 1982.

The Lions continued their dominance in doubles play as
Liya Davidov and
Katrine Luddy did not drop a game on court one and
Chase Eisenberg paired with
Alexa Vasile for an 8-0 win at number three. At second doubles,
Charlotte Roarty and
Jenny Landells combined for an 8-1 win.

All six Lions won in straight sets in singles play. Roarty, Eisenberg, and
Anusha Rangu won at numbers one, four, and five respectively without dropping a game. Davidov won 6-0, 6-1 at number two. Luddy claimed a 6-0, 6-1 win on court three. Vasile won 6-0, 6-1 at sixth singles.

The Lions now await the rescheduling of the postponed match against Kean or the start of the NJAC Tournament. The Lions have already clinched the number one seed in the tournament and will find out their opponent for that match at a future date.
