GLASSBORO, N.J. – The TCNJ baseball team lost to No. 17 Rowan, 18-2, in Thursday NJAC action. The Lions' offense was held to just four hits, all singles.
After a scoreless first inning, Rowan scored five runs in the second inning, one in the third, and eight in the fourth to lead, 14-0.
TCNJ got on the board with both of its runs in the top of the fifth inning.
Avery Epstein reached on an error and advanced to third with two outs. He scored on
Aydon Chavis' RBI single. After
Jack Haynes was hit by a pitch to put two men on,
Sebastian JnoBaptiste drove home Chavis with a run-scoring single of his own.
Epstein and Haynes had the other two TCNJ base hits.
The Lions will return to action with a rematch against the Profs on Friday afternoon at George Ackerman Park. First pitch is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
