GRANTHAM, Pa. – The No. 16 TCNJ wrestling team polished off a phenomenal regular season with a resounding 34-12 victory at perennial power Messiah on Saturday afternoon.

The Lions (11-1) racked up three falls in the first four bouts and never looked back in knocking off the Falcons on the road for the first time.

Ryan Rosenthal completed an undefeated dual campaign with a 59-second pin of Hunter Rinehart to get TCNJ off the blocks. The rookie is a perfect 8-0 in dual matches and 13-4 overall on the year.

After Jake Giordano scored a 5-3 decision over Dalton Daugherty at 133, Domenic Difrancescantonio won by fall over Mason Casey just shy of the midway point of the second period at 141. It was the sixth pin of the season for Difrancescantonio, who is nationally ranked and 16-3 overall.

Mike Conklin moved to 17-4 with his fifth pin of the year at 149, dropping Ike Bryner with 16 seconds remaining in the first period.

Garret Cornell got the Falcons (8-8) on the board with a pin at 157 before Matt Surich won by medical forfeit at 165.

Daniel Surich upped his record to 17-3 with an 8-1 decision against Ryder Slayton at 184, and Quinn Haddad notched a 12-3 major decision over Joe Embleton at 197.

The Lions will send a reserve contingent to the Mideast Futures tournament at Muhlenberg next Sunday and will spend the next two weeks preparing for the Mideast Regional championship, which will be held February 26 and 27 at Elizabethtown College.
